Clocks
At
last count, there were 130, but that number could be
different if there was a good auction last week.
Yes,
they all work. They're antiques and require winding (which
Deb refuses to do). Besides, if 130 clocks were chiming
every 15 minutes, you might not want to stay long enough to
enjoy one of our scrumptious desserts.
This
is a collection years in the making. Most of the clocks were acquired at
auctions; some from auctions. Others are
from customers looking for a new home for an old clock. Many people ask
if our clocks are from the Mitchell Inn collection. Actually, only two
are from that collection: A bird-cage clock and an Oriental-inspired
musical clock.
Now you understand why there are some who say time stands still at
John's Harvest Inn.
