DINING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

John and Deb Botti of John’s Harvest Inn are committed to the community in which they reside – even in these trying times.
You need to eat. We need to pay our bills. Non-profits need support. You encourage your colleagues to dine with us on an agreed-upon date. We pledge to write a check for 10 percent of our proceeds that evening to that night’s designated cause. The more your friends support the cause, the more we’ll donate to your charity.
Talk about a win-win situation. You and your contemporaries treat yourself to a delectable dinner – guilt-free; with each bite, you’re helping others. We’re gifted with more customers and express our gratitude by giving back.
John, a Middletown native and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has been in business for 24 years. In his mind, whether preparing a meal or helping someone in need, there’s no difference in the energy expended. We’re all in this together.Call 343-6630 to schedule a day for your cause.

Coming Up:

Monday, Feb. 6 – Things get cookin’ at 6 p.m. at the first Cooking Class of 2012. No, John doesn’t have the menu mapped out yet, but there’s always variety. And while you’ll pick up a few tips along the way, the really draw is to be able to eat what’s prepared that evening. The cost is $40 plus tax, and beverages are available for purchase. Reservations are required as seating is limited, and can be made by calling 343-6630.

Sunday, Feb. 12 – How about the gift of music – along with a meal – for your loved one? Jenna Esposito returns for her annual Valentine’s Weekend show, sure to be filled with love songs sung from the heart. The 5:30 p.m. performance will be preceded by a light-fare buffet beginning at 4:15. Reservations are required.

Tuesday, Feb. 14 – Yes, we will be open – and lit by candles for this romantic evening.

Saturday, March 3 – Defensive Driving Class from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Here’s an easy way to honor a resolution to save money. Taking this class will not only save you 10 percent off your liability and collision insurance and reduce up to four points from your license – but you’ll be safer on the road. And have a great lunch. Call 692-4676; leave your name and address on the recording and the registration information will be sent out to you.

Gift Baskets Available

Food baskets are a tasty way to celebrate – and we can certainly help. Based on your budget – and preferences – we can fill a decorative box or basket with items such as homemade chocolate chip cookies, Kahlua-candied nuts, cheeses, crackers, beverages, pumpkin bread, salad dressing, whatever – and even include a gift certificate if you like. John will help you customize your gift. Call for more details.
